University at Albany rising sophomore Tyler Ranke has been selected to compete in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Pan American Junior Games in Edmonton. Ranke, who finished third in the steeplechase at the USATF Junior National Championships in June, was the first alternate for the event, falling just outside the automatic qualifying spot, which is reserved for the top two finishers in an event.
